(Photo by Ben Grafton) RUSSELL TUCKER has been painting flag poles for the past 40 years and has held a contract with the city of DeFuniak Springs for at least the past 12. The Birmingham, Ala. native works by using ropes to shimmy up flagpoles, painting them with special rust-inhibiting paint while descending from his perch.
THE FREEPORT BASEBALL TEAM celebrated their second round victory at Panama City Bozeman on Friday night with a team photo after the game. (Photo by Patrick Casey) WALTON HIGH SCHOOL is participating in Relay for Life with a team composed of students, teachers, and staff members. The Walton High School softball team had a fundraiser for this cause and presented a check to Beth Yates, coordinator of the WHS team. All proceeds from this event will go to the American Cancer Society to support cancer research, education, and awareness.
