THE WALTON COUNTY EXPERIMENTAL AIRCRAFT ASSOCIATION celebrated the debut of the repainted and redesigned compass rose at the DeFuniak Springs Airport with a ribbon-cutting hosted by the Walton Area Chamber of Commerce and the city on Saturday, Oct.12. Members of the newly formed club chapter also held a Young Eagles event at the airport later that day, with 20 members of the Walton County Junior ROTC taking part in the program, which aims to introduce young people to aviation by letting them see what it’s really like to take to the sky.
