Zach Varnum scored 21 points while Garrett Bodie added 17 with teammate and Connor Varnum adding 11 as the Paxton Boys defeated Bethlehem 61-46 on Senior Night this past Friday.
The Bobcats outscored the visitors from Holmes County in every quarter.
The senior cagers hung around and were honored before the varsity girls game, which was the last of four games played following the boys varsity contest as well as both junior varsity clubs. This senior class has already cemented itself as one of the greatest in the grand history of Paxton School and appears to be primed to improve on that legacy as they currently have only one loss to a Class A school, a one-point defeat to the defending state champion Chipley Tigers.
Every single one of the 12 varsity Lady Bobcats contributed to the scoring effort with Cortni Mckee leading all the players with 18 points as the Lady Bobcats easily defeated a hapless Bethlehem squad 65-19.
The Bobcats currently trail both Ponce de Leon and Poplar Springs in the district standings with a 4-2 league record but have games against both squads this week.
Paxton is 12-6 overall after defeating Navarre 52-35 on Saturday afternoon in a road contest.
