MAYORS THAT CARE: Freeport mayor Russ Barley and Malone mayor Gene Wright along with a host of volunteers made the trip to Gonzales, La. last week to deliver two truckloads of donations for the newly formed Mayors That Care program. Over the past few weeks, the two municipalities, along with the town of Jay and a few others have collected much-needed flood relief items for the people that have been hit by the recent flooding in Louisiana.
