Architectural Design and 
Engineering Services for Walton Middle School with the 
Walton County School District

The Walton County School District will receive and consider proposals from prospective Architectural Design firms for planning, development and design of existing Walton Middle School to include renovation, new construction and site development. 

The Walton County School District will receive and consider proposals for professional services, program analysis, and construction administration.  The Walton Middle School project has a conceptual master plan on file for overall site development which includes renovation, new construction, demolition and site development. 

 All Architectural proposals should include a letter of intent, stating qualifications on Standard Form – 330 and limited to twenty-five (25) pages.  Applicants should list educational related projects with emphasis on existing school campuses and any other projects that fall under the jurisdiction of the Florida Department of Education, Office of Educational Facilities, and State Requirements for Educational Facilities (SREF) code. 

Applicants shall provide the School District eight (8) copies of their proposals, to the following address on or before 2:00 P.M., Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013. Plus one (1) electronic copy to gardnerm@walton.k12.fl.us

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

The City of DeFuniak Springs is requesting financial funding proposals for a new portable aviation fuel refueling trailer to be used at the city’s airport.  The cost of the new trailer is $17,900; however, the city is requesting to finance approximately $15,850.

The city will accept bids until January 9, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. CST.  The proposals will be opened in the Council Chambers on the above date and time and read aloud.  The proposals shall be marked on the outside of the envelope “Sealed Bid - Financial Proposal for Refueling Trailer.”  Sealed bids will be received at 71 US Hwy 90 W., DeFuniak Springs, FL 32433 or P.O. Box 685, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435.  Any bids received after 2:00 p.m. on the above date will not be accepted and will be returned unopened to the bidder.  The City Council will award the bid at its regularly scheduled Council meeting on January 14, 2012.

Proposals should quote a simple interest rate with a term of three years.  The financing can be a note payable or under a master lease program with the city maintaining title to the equipment.  The rate quoted will be a fixed rate upon funding that can be locked for a period of at least thirty (30) days prior to the funding date.  All closing cost for this loan should be included in the proposal and these costs will be added to the lender’s charges when determining the lowest quote.
