NORTHWEST FLORIDA WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT
Notice is hereby given that stormwater permit number 1394 was issued on September 4, 2012, to C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. for the construction of a 51 +/- acre borrow pit in uplands, a 1200 square foot office building and an asphalt access roadway with treatment swales/ditch blocks and a shallow dry retention pond. The project is located within Walton County on the east side of U.S. Hwy 331, approximately 1.5 miles south of Owls Head Road.
The file containing the application for this permit is available for inspection Monday thru Friday (except for legal holidays), 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Northwest Florida Water Management District’s ERP Office, 800 Hospital Drive, Crestview, FL 32539.
A person whose substantial interests are affected by the District permitting decision may petition for an administrative hearing in accordance with Sections 120.569 and 120.57 F.S., or may choose to pursue mediation as an alternative remedy under Section 120.573, Florida Statutes, and Rules 28-106.111 and 28-106.401-404, Florida Administrative Code. Petitions must comply with the requirements of Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 28-106 and be filed with (received by) the District Clerk located at District Headquarters, 81 Water Management Drive, Havana, FL 32333-4712. The Walton County Zoning Board of Adjustment will hold their regular public hearing on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 6:00 P.M. at the South Walton Courthouse Annex in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida 32459. The following items are scheduled for review and action:
LAS PALMAS HOA, INC PETITION FOR VARIANCE– Project number 12-005-00007. This is a petition submitted by Las Palmas HOA, requesting a variance from the Walton County Land Development Code appendix C.3, reducing the location of the entrance gate setback from the required 100 feet to 51 feet from the Right-of-Way. The Zoning Board of Adjustment will make a final determination to grant a variance, deny a variance, uphold the director’s decision, overturn the director’s decision, or continue to a later date.
