The School Board of Walton County, Florida, hereby gives notice of its intent to adopt the proposed rule setting forth Social Media policies and procedures governing the pedagogical usage of social media outlets in the Walton County School District, pursuant to the procedures set forth in the Administrative Procedures Act.

PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The purpose and effect of the adoption of the proposed rule is to set forth the rights and responsibilities of approved users as pertains to the usage of social media outlets.

SUMMARY: Policies and procedures for the appropriate usage of social media outlets in the Walton County School District will provide a framework for evaluating and maintaining a consistent pedagogical purpose within the schools.

LEGAL AUTHORITY: The adoption of the proposed rule is authorized by Sections 1001.41, 1001.42, 1001.43, and 1006.09, Florida Statutes.

Copies of the proposed rule are available to the public at the Superintendent’s office.

SSA 2012-21:  SELRAHC, LP is requesting the adoption of an Ordinance of Walton County, Florida, Adopting a Small Scale Future Land Use Map Amendment to the Walton County Comprehensive Plan; Setting Forth the Authority for Adoption; Amending the Future Land Use Map; Repealing All Ordinances in Conflict Herewith; Providing for Severability and Conflicts; and Providing for an Effective Date.  The Ordinance proposes to amend 6.64 +/- acres in Walton County north of the Choctawhatchee Bay, on property identified by parcel numbers 27-6N-21-40000-001-0030 and 27-6N-21-40000-001-0011, and 1.53 acres of 27-6N-40060-001-0010 from Rural Residential Future Land Use Category to Urban Residential Future Land Use Category, or less intense use.  The property is located west side of Lake Jackson, southeast of SR 85 on Lake Road. The parcels are located on both sides of the road.

SSA 2012-24:  Charlie Plauche is requesting the adoption of an Ordinance of Walton County, Florida, Adopting a Small Scale Future Land Use Map Amendment to the Walton County Comprehensive Plan; Setting Forth the Authority for Adoption; Amending the Future Land Use Map; Repealing All Ordinances in Conflict Herewith; Providing for Severability and Conflicts; and Providing for an Effective Date.  The Ordinance proposes to amend 9.83 +/- acres in Walton County south of the Choctawhatchee Bay, on property identified by parcel number, 24-2s-20-33180-000-0540, from Conservation Residential 1:2.5 Future Land Use Category to Small Neighborhood Future Land Use Category.  The property is located east of Nellie drive, approximately 1/3 mile north of Chat Holly.

SSA 2012-25:  Old Seagrove Village, LLC is requesting the adoption of an Ordinance of Walton County, Florida, Adopting a Small Scale Future Land Use Map Amendment to the Walton County Comprehensive Plan; Setting Forth the Authority for Adoption; Amending the Future Land Use Map; Repealing All Ordinances in Conflict Herewith; Providing for Severability and Conflicts; and Providing for an Effective Date.  The Ordinance proposes to amend 1.39 +/- acres in Walton County south of the Choctawhatchee Bay, on property identified by parcel numbers 14-3S-19-25000-004-0041 and 14-3S-19-25000-004-0042, from Residential Preservation Future Land Use Category to Low Density Residential Future Land Use Category, or a lesser intense category.  The property is located 0.10 miles east of the intersection of Seagrove Village Drive and County Road 395.

SSA 2012-26:  Walton County is requesting the adoption of an Ordinance of Walton County, Florida, Adopting a Small Scale Future Land Use Map Amendment to the Walton County Comprehensive Plan; Setting Forth the Authority for Adoption; Amending the Future Land Use Map; Repealing All Ordinances in Conflict Herewith; Providing for Severability and Conflicts; and Providing for an Effective Date.  The Ordinance proposes to amend 10 acres or less in Walton County north of the Choctawhatchee Bay, on property identified by parcel number 01-1N-19-17000-001-0000, from Estate Residential  Future Land Use Category to Industrial Future Land Use Category, or a lesser intense category.  The property is located approximately 300 feet north of intersection of Rock Hill Road and OTI Road, approximately 1.2 miles east of the intersection of US 331 and Rock Hill Road.

In accordance with Section 286.26, Florida Statutes, whenever any board or commissioner of any state agency or authority, or of any agency or authority of any county, municipal corporation, or other political subdivision, which has scheduled a meeting at which official acts are to be taken receives, at least 48 hours prior to the meeting, a written request by a physically handicapped person to attend the meeting, directed to the chairperson or director of such board, commission, agency, or authority, such chairperson or director shall provide a manner by which such person may attend the meeting at its scheduled site or reschedule the meeting to a site which would be accessible to such person.

The Planning Commission will make a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners regarding these items either to approve, approve with conditions or to deny.  Any agenda item that is tabled will be scheduled for a future Planning Commission meeting and will not go forward to the Board of County Commissioners until the Planning Commission makes a recommendation.
