NOTICE OF INTENT TO USE UNIFORM METHOD OF COLLECTING NON- AD VALOREM ASSESSMENTS

The City of DeFuniak Springs, Florida (the ‘City’) hereby provides notice, pursuant to ¤197.3632(3)(a) Fla. Stat., of its intent to use the uniform method of collecting non-ad valorem special assessments to be levied within the incorporated municipal boundaries of the City, for the purpose of collecting amounts due to the City for abatement of certain code violations established by ordinance, commencing for the Fiscal Year beginning on October 1, 2015, and continuing until discontinued by the City. The City will consider the adoption of a resolution electing to use the uniform method of collecting such assessments authorized by ¤197.3632 Fla. Lofts at Seacrest – Project number 15-00100006 is being reviewed by Tim Brown.  This is a major development order application submitted by ECA, Inc., requesting the approval of 120 apartments with a clubhouse, pool and associated parking consisting of 6.86 acres with a future land use of Traditional Neighborhood Development.  The project is located on the south side of U.S. Hwy. 98, south of the intersection of U.S. Hwy. 98 and Redbud Lane, and is identified by parcel number(s) 26-3S-18-16000-002-0060.

Public Workshop to discuss amending Chapter 13 of the Walton County Land Development Code – Specifically those portions pertaining to colors, building materials, and landscaping materials.  DRB Design Professionals will bring ideas, suggestions, and Landscape Professionals to the Workshop.  On October 28, 2014, the Walton County BCC authorized the DRB to schedule this workshop.   (Continued from the 03/11/2015 DRB)
