The Walton County Code Enforcement Board will hold their regular meeting on March 15, 2012 beginning at 6:00 p.m. to be held at the South Walton Courthouse Annex.

To be considered, entity must have extensive knowledge regarding established Cathodic Protection engineering practices, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 49 Part 192 Subpart I, Florida Administrative Code (FAC) Ch 25-12, and National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) corrosion prevention and control standards.
Entities interested in submitting a proposal should contact Michelle Schack, Special Projects Coordinator at P.O. Box 685, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435 or (850) 892-8500, between the normal office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., to obtain the list of criteria which will be used to complete the proposal. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 18 OF THE DEFUNIAK SPRINGS LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE; ESTABLISHING PROCEDURES AND REQUIREMENTS GOVERNING EXPEDITED REVIEW AND PERMITTING FOR MAJOR DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
The purpose and intent of this ordinance is to provide expedited review and permitting of development projects that substantially contributes to the economy of DeFuniak Springs through the creation of jobs. The expedited review and permitting process is intended to be an incentive available to developers of all major development projects.
A Public Hearing encourages the public to provide written and/or verbal comments on the above matter under consideration. All interested persons may appear at the scheduled meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed request.
