This is an administrative appeal submitted by Steve Hall, appealing the Planning and Development Services Director’s decision that there should be a numerical limitation on the maximum number of attendees at events held in the Monet Monet outdoor event venue in Grayton Beach in the future, in order to avoid a County finding of an unauthorized expansion of the existing legal non-conforming use recognized for the venue. The subject site is located on the south side of CR 30A at 100 CR 30A (parcel number 08-3S-19-25200-00B-0010).

LIMITED OUTDOOR ENTERTAINMENT APPEAL Ð This is an administrative appeal submitted by Bill Brakebill, appealing the Planning and Development Services Director’s Administrative Interpretation dated October 1, 2013 relating to ÒLimited Outdoor EntertainmentÓ specifically as it applies to the Walton County Land Development Code 2.01.02 Land use Districts; 2.01.3 Allowable Uses Section N. Mixed Use Centers(MU) 4b. Village Mixed Use Centers (vi) (cc) Òrestaurants with limited outdoor entertainmentÓ.

The Zoning Board of Adjustment will make a final determination to grant a variance, deny a variance, uphold the director’s decision, overturn the director’s decision, or continue to a later date. Any agenda item that is tabled will be scheduled for a future Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting. The applicant/petitioner may appeal the decision of this board to the Circuit Court of Walton County. Proposed agenda items may be inspected by the public from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday at Walton County Planning and Development Services located at 31 Coastal Center Blvd, Suite 100, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32549 or 47 North 6th Street, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435.
Interested parties may appear at the public hearing and be heard with respect to the proposed agenda items.
In accordance with Section 286.26, Florida Statutes, whenever any board or commissioner of any state agency or authority, or of any agency or authority of any county, municipal corporation, or other political subdivision that has scheduled a meeting at which official acts are to be taken, receives at least 48 hours prior to the meeting, a written request by a physically handicapped person to attend the meeting, directed to the chairperson or director of such board, commission, agency, or authority, such chairperson or director shall provide a manner by which such person may attend the meeting at its scheduled site or reschedule the meeting to a site which would be accessible to such person.
In accordance with Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, all persons are advised that, if a person decides to appeal any decision made by the board, agency, or commission with respect to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
