Beach Vendor 2017 Pre-Season Kickoff Meeting
Please be notified that the Walton County Tourist Development Council Beach Operations Code Enforcement staff will hold a meeting on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 9:00 am and on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 3:00 pm. Both meetings will be held at the South Walton Annex located at 31 Coastal Center Blvd. Santa Rosa Beach, FL.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss beach safety and beach vendor operations.
All current and prospective beach vendors are required to attend at least one of the mentioned meetings. Two or more Walton County Elected or Appointed Officials may attend. These meetings are open to the public.

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR GENERAL CONTRACTOR
The City of DeFuniak Springs is seeking qualifications for a General Contractor to bid the restoration of the Chautauqua Hall of Brotherhood historic structure on the lake in DeFuniak Springs.
In general, the work will include the following: Repair; cleaning and painting of the exterior façade; tuck pointing; elevator installation; framing of new walls and ceilings; HVAC; 3 phase electrical supply, wiring, and lighting installation; fire and lightning protection systems; installation of new water supply and sprinkler system; handicap accessible toilets; cabinetry; site work; among other work.
Contractors are requested to forward their qualifications using AIA Document A305, and any other supporting information. It is anticipated the bid documents will be ready for distribution in mid February.
The city will accept submissions until February 16, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. CST. The RFQs will be opened in the Council Chambers on the above date and time and read aloud. The submissions shall be marked on the outside of the envelope “RFQ – General Contractor for Chautauqua Hall of Brotherhood Restoration.” Sealed submissions will be received at 71 US Hwy 90 W., DeFuniak Springs, FL 32433 or P.O. Architectural/Engineering Design Services for Classroom Additions & Master Planning at
South Walton High School with the Walton County School District
The Walton County School District, Facilities Department, will receive and consider proposals from prospective Architectural Design firms for planning, development, and design of Classroom Additions & Campus Master Planning. The firm will work with the Facilities Department and Construction Management Firm under guidance of the School Board of Walton County, Florida. The selected firm shall provide the School Board with the master plan with the potential for site expansion in the future. The proposed project is located at South Walton High School, 645 Greenway Trail, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459.
All Architectural proposals should include a letter of intent, stating qualifications on Standard Form – 330 and limited to fifty (50) pages total. Applicants should list educational related projects with emphasis on K12 design that fall under the jurisdiction of the Florida Department of Education, Office of Educational Facilities. Firms should show any experience of working on an occupied campus – (i.e., additions, renovations or demolitions)
Additionally:
•May provide certification or experience with Florida Department of Education, SREF
•Shall provide Florida Public Entity Crime Statement (287.133, F.S.)
•Shall be compliant with provisions of the Jessica Lunsford Act (1012.465, F.S.)
Applicants shall provide the School District eight (8) hard copies of their proposals, plus one (1) electronic copy on or before 2:00 P.M. CST, Thursday, February 2, 2017. Firms are notified that there should be no contact with any School Board member beyond this date. Doing so could constitute a disqualification of their submittal package.
