Walton County Attorney Lynn Hoshihara has tendered her resignation, effective Dec. 30, 2011. Hoshihara said she would be seeking new opportunities, going into private practice with a firm in Tallahassee. The decision came after “a great deal of consideration,” adding that she would always treasure the opportunities she had in Walton County. Hoshihara told the Walton County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) that she will work to ensure a seamless transition to the new attorney.
District 2 Commissioner Kenneth Pridgen expressed thanks to Hoshihara. “You will certainly be missed. We appreciate the job you have done for us.” The resignation was submitted at the BCC’s Nov. 22 regular meeting.
The BCC will advertise for a new county attorney.
