The Alex Brack Foundation was organized in March 2015 after the November 2014 death of Alex Brack, a 2012 Walton High graduate and Civil Engineering student at Florida Tech University. He was an honors student and athlete playing football in high school and college. Alex’s parents, Greg and Janet Brack, along with brother, Thomas, created the Alex Brack Foundation as a way to give back to the community and show the love that Alex always shared with friends, children and others. He was always the guy his friends could call when they needed a helping hand and was great with children especially those with special needs. Alex also volunteered with fundraisers for the Scott Center for Autism on campus at Florida Tech while a student there. The Brack family has worked diligently since Alex’s death to raise money for these special needs children and the two Walton High scholarships each year through fund-raisers such as the popular T-shirts, cups and the annual Golf Tournament.

On Wednesday, March 16, 2016 the Bracks’ visited Great Gains Behavioral Solutions in DeFuniak Springs to present more scholarships to families in need of assistance so their children can receive the therapy they need and deserve. With these scholarships, the Alex Brack Foundation has given over $11,000 in scholarships in its first year. “We are continuing ever day through God’s grace to assist others the way Alex would have wanted. With the great community we live in here we have been fortunate to exceed all expectations so far and look forward to seeing what God has in His plan for the future of the Alex Brack Foundation,” stated the Brack family.
The second annual Alex Brack Foundation Golf Tournament will be held July 30 at the DeFuniak Springs Country Club with a three person scramble format. If interested in being a sponsor or playing in the tournament contact the Bracks by email at, alexbrackfoundation@yahoo.com or by call Greg at (850)333-4469. “Our first golf tournament was a great success with the support of the community and we look for bigger things with more prizes and sponsorships this year so we can continue to assist these children,” stated Mr. Brack.
