WALTON COUNTY EDUCATION ASSOCIATION (WCEA) and Walton County School District (WCSD) reprepresentives met for round eight of bargining for instructional personnel the afternoon Oct. 27, 2016. Both sides failed to come to an agreement on salaries, and spent a much of the two and a half hour meeting in caucus. A new representative for the district side, Leonard Dietzen from the law firm Rumberger, Clark, and Caldwell in Tallahassee, Fla. will be taking over starting in November. The next date for talks is Nov. 16 at 5 p.m. at the DeFuniak Springs district office.
A BIG CROWD of families and Trick or Treaters gathered Halloween Night on Baldwin Avenue and around the lake in DeFuniak Springs for candy and costume contests.
